Hilary was born August 31, 1952 in Toronto, Canada. After moving to Los Angeles, Farr started buying real estate properties, renovating them and selling with profit. At the beginning she took also some part-time jobs to make ends meet. In 2008, she joined new reality show Love It or List It where her role is to renovate the old home and convince the owner to stay in it as opposed to sell it and move. Hilary also appeared in Brother Vs. Brother, Makeover Manor, and several other shows. She used to be married to Gordon Farr with whom she has one son.
